John Wick star Lance Reddick has passed away

The actor was 60 years old.

American theater and film actor Lance Reddick has passed away. The star of the John Wick franchise and The Wire TV series was 60 years old.

According to TMZ, Lance Reddick's death was reported by law enforcement sources. The body of the actor was found on the morning of March 17 at his home in the Studio City area in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. The cause of Reddick's death has not been confirmed, but TMZ sources say the actor died of natural causes.

Lance Reddick took part in a press tour as part of the promotion of the action movie John Wick 4, which will be released in Russian cinemas on March 23. In the new part of the series, Reddick reprized the role of Charon, who, according to the plot, works at the Continental Hotel for hired killers. Charon has played an important role in all three previous films in the franchise. The following week, Reddick was scheduled to talk about the film on a new episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

On Wednesday, March 15, Lance Reddick posted a homemade video on social media of himself reacting to his dogs barking. Although on this day he was supposed to attend the premiere of the film "John Wick 4" in New York. Reddick did not explain at the time why he did not show up for the event.

Lance Reddick was born December 31, 1962, in Baltimore. He studied at the Eastman School of Music and the Yale School of Drama. He made his film debut in the 1990s, among the actor's first projects were the films "Great Expectations" and "The Siege" in 1998. Reddick became famous thanks to the role of Cedric Daniels in the cult TV series The Wire, which ran from 2002 to 2008.
