This a new teaser for the upcoming DC movie comic Shazam! Fury of the Gods" - the sequel to "Shazam!" 2019. Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, makes an unexpected return in the video.
In 2022, information appeared in the movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods" will show a scene with a fake Wonder Woman. It's supposed to be the episode where Shazam/Billy Batson (Zachary Levi and Asher Angel) has a dream with Diana Prince, but instead of the superheroine, it's the Wizard Shazam (Djimon Hounsou) in her costume.
Now it has become known that the tape will be the real Wonder Woman. A fresh teaser was posted on Twitter. The video was shown on TV but has not yet been published as a YouTube video. There, a short scene was revealed with Shazam and his siblings meeting Wonder Woman. It looks like she helped the guys deal with some problems.
Director David F. Sandberg has already commented on the leaked Wonder Woman cameo teaser. He advised viewers not to go online at all and not to watch commercials on TV:
Well, now there are some big Shazam spoilers. If you want to go to the movies without them, then you might be better off not being online or watching ads on TV. Pretty good advice actually."
DC Studios CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are set to restart the DC Universe. The future of many heroes was in question. So, it is already known that younger Batman and Superman will appear in new projects, which will be played by new actors - not Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. Teaser "Shazam! Fury of the Gods hints that Gadot will continue to play Wonder Woman in the new DCEU. However, the reboot will take place in The Flash, which will be released after Shazam! Fury of the gods."
World Premiere of Shazam! Fury of the Gods will take place on March 17, while The Flash is expected on June 16.
